Jessica Chastain ha risposto alle voci secondo cui diventerà un politico.
L’attrice e produttrice cinematografica ha affrontato i suggerimenti che si è iscritta all’Università di Harvard con l’obiettivo di diventare un politico.
Durante un’apparizione a tarda notte con Seth Meyers lunedì, Chastain ha spiegato che non era così, poiché frequenta le università della Ivy League John F. Kennedy School of Government per ottenere un master in pubblica amministrazione.
“There’s people from all over the world in this program. And you know a lot of… There’s a lot of future politicians,” ha detto. “There’s a lot of politicians from their countries there right now.”
L’attrice interstellare ha continuato, “I’m not there to be a politician. I’m there to fight politicians.”
Meyers ha risposto, “Yeah? That’s a very good thing to do.”
Chastain in precedenza si era laureato alla Juilliard School e si è guadagnato un dottorato onorario lì nel 2024.
Altrove nell’intervista, l’attrice Zero Dark Trenta ha rivelato di essere stata la prima persona della sua famiglia a frequentare l’università.
“And for so much of my life I thought, you know, it’s the cycle of your family,” Ha detto il 48enne. “I thought I wasn’t very smart, and I didn’t think school was for me. And I just love it.”
Quando gli è stato chiesto come i suoi compagni di classe avessero reagito ad avere un vincitore dell’Oscar nelle loro lezioni, Chastain ha detto che finora non avevano fatto storie.
“I mean the very first day there (were) some selfies and stuff,” ha continuato. “It was sweet but no one kind of said anything.”
