Jack Whitehall ha rivelato che una delle sue idee per uno sketch per i BRIT Awards per Harry Styles è stata bloccata dal team del cantante.
Il comico si sta preparando a ospitare sabato la premiazione musicale annuale per la sesta volta, mentre il cantante di As It Was farà il suo grande ritorno nella musica dal vivo con l’esibizione di debutto del suo nuovo singolo Aperture.
Durante un’apparizione al The Jonathan Ross Show, Whitehall ha rivelato di aver inviato alcune idee per gli schizzi al team della superstar del pop, e uno in particolare ha ricevuto un “hard no”.
“I had to send over a couple of ideas, because the first few I don’t think were appropriate,” ha condiviso, prima di divulgare un’idea ispirata dall’assenza di Styles dai riflettori per più di due anni.
“There was one that was like me trekking for days to try and find him and he’d been living in a hut, and he looked like (Harry Potter character) Hagrid. And then it had me shaving him,” ha continuato. “It was maybe like a fantasy of mine, but that got a hard no from his team.”
I fan di Styles potranno vedere se appare in uno sketch approvato durante i BRIT Awards, che si terranno sabato presso l’arena Co-op Live di Manchester, in Inghilterra.
Durante il suo tour promozionale per i BRIT, l’attore di Jungle Cruise ha anche rivelato al The Scott Mills Breakfast Show di BBC Radio 2 che Jared Leto una volta ha provato a cambiare l’autocue a metà spettacolo perché non gli piaceva la sceneggiatura di Whitehall per la sua introduzione.
“He didn’t like his intro… and then during the show, whilst I was up on stage hosting it, one of the producers found him by the autocue with his publicist changing my script, actually deleting the intro and typing in his own one,” ha detto.
“He wanted me to introduce him as the biggest rock star on the planet, and I wasn’t on board with that. I wanted to introduce him as ‘the hipster Jesus.'”
Oltre a Styles, durante la cerimonia si esibiranno Olivia Dean, Mark Ronson, Rosalía, Sombr, Alex Warren, Wolf Alice e le voci cantate di Huntr/x di KPop Demon Hunters.
