Charlie Hunnam ha scatenato speculazioni sul matrimonio riferendosi alla sua compagna di lunga data Morgana McNelis come sua “wife” in un’intervista sul tappeto rosso.
La star di Sons of Anarchy, che ha una relazione con il designer di gioielli da 20 anni, si riferisce a McNelis come al suo “wife” durante un’intervista con Extra prima dei Critics Choice Awards 2026 a Santa Monica, in California, domenica.
Discutendo delle celebrazioni del nuovo anno, ha detto allo sbocco, “I always like to ring in the new year mainly on the 1st rather than on the 31st. So my wife and I went to bed early, got up, had a really beautiful hike and came in, set some intentions, got the year started correct.”
La quarantacinquenne ha mantenuto la sua relazione con McNelis relativamente privata da quando hanno iniziato a frequentarsi nel 2005, tuttavia, ha fatto una rara apparizione sul tappeto rosso con Hunnam agli Emmy del 2025 a settembre.
Hunnam aveva già detto nel 2020 che lui “sort of” già si considerava “married” a McNelis, aggiungendo che il “official government sanction of it doesn’t mean anything to me but the romance of it means an enormous amount”.
L’attore britannico è apparso alla premiazione poiché è stato nominato come miglior attore in una miniserie o film realizzato per la televisione per Monster: The Ed Gein Story. Il premio è andato a Stephen Graham per Adolescent.
In un’intervista separata sul tappeto rosso con E! Notizie, Hunnam ha condiviso che McNelis gli ha chiesto di smettere di parlare come il famigerato assassino “around the house”.
“I was slipping in and out of it all the time and she was saying, ‘Dude. You have to stop with the voice,'” ha detto, prima di scherzare, “At breakfast, it’s a little too much.”
