L’Irlanda Baldwin ha elogiato la sua matrigna Hilaria Baldwin “saving” la vita di suo padre Alec Baldwin.
In seguito alla notizia che l’istruttrice di yoga gareggerà nella stagione 34 di Ballando con le stelle, giovedì l’Irlanda è andata su Instagram per pubblicare una dolce foto di se stessa e Hilaria.
Nella didascalia di accompagnamento, la modella ha elogiato la sua matrigna per esserlo “loyal to a fault”.
“(Hilaria) is eccentric and totally bats**t crazy (in a fun way) but she saved my dad’s life. She turned his health around and has shown him the forgiveness and kindness that he needed,” ha scritto il 29enne. “She also recognizes and nourishes the parts of my father that are the most compassionate and wonderful. She’s taught him that he doesn’t need to suffer inside of his own head and stay stuck in his own past. That it’s never too late to admit you need help and it’s never too late to learn to be kind to yourself.”
L’Irlanda ha continuato a ringraziare Hilaria per averla incoraggiata a costruire una relazione con suo padre dopo il tumultuoso divorzio di lui dalla madre Kim Basinger nel 2002.
Hilaria e l’attore di 30 Rock si sono sposati nel 2012 e hanno sette figli.
“Hilaria is the reason I am able to have the close relationship with my father that I do. She is the reason I get to have siblings/a big family that I’ve always wanted. She has always respected me, accepted my flaws, embraced me, and has always shown me kindness,” L’Irlanda ha continuato.
Inoltre, nel messaggio ha fatto brevemente riferimento allo scandalo sugli antenati di Hilaria.
Nel 2020, la nativa di Boston – il cui nome di nascita è Hillary Hayward-Thomas – è stata accusata di appropriazione culturale per aver parlato con un accento spagnolo.
Più tardi, la 41enne ha affermato che il cambiamento della sua voce era il risultato del tempo trascorso sia in Spagna che negli Stati Uniti mentre cresceva.
“Hilaria has had a far more complex and chaotic upbringing than she lets on and I think that’s why we’ve maybe bonded in some ways? She didn’t always feel safe and seen,” ha rivelato la madre di uno dei figli. “And it’s not my place to share the ins and outs, but this woman is a gem and deserves all the love.”
Per concludere, l’Irlanda ha sottolineato che farà il tifo per la personalità dei Baldwin quando si esibirà in Dancing with the Stars, che sarà presentato in anteprima il 16 settembre.
In risposta al post, Hilaria ha ammesso che le parole accorate l’hanno fatta piangere.
“I love you with all my heart, @irelandirelandireland. These words mean so much. You mean so much to me,” lei rispose.
