Michelle Williams ha spiegato perché aveva un “horrible” tempo vivendo con Ryan Gosling.
La coppia ha recitato insieme nel dramma del 2010 Blue Valentine che ha visto Williams ottenere una nomination all’Oscar per il suo ruolo di Cindy che si innamora del decano di Gosling.
La coppia ha vissuto insieme durante le riprese e apparentemente imparato a mettersi in nervi l’un l’altro mentre giravano il film in modo cronologico.
Williams, 44 anni, ha detto al podcast esperto di poltrone, “We shot the first part where they’re young and in love and everything is going really well and then we took a two-week break and we lived together.”
Ha continuato, “We did these improvisations during the day to, honestly, find out ways to annoy each other and to destroy this thing that we had made.”
Ha continuato a spiegare che il regista Derek Cianfrance ha testato lei e Gosling, 44 anni, poiché avrebbero avuto il compito di girare scene edificanti dopo aver creato momenti tesi.
Ha raccontato “(Derek would say), ‘After you’ve had this frustrating day, now you’re going to go take your daughter to the amusement park and try and have a good time.'”
Spiegando che lei e Gosling sono riusciti ad antagonizzarsi a vicenda, ha ricordato, “We learned how to annoy each other. It was horrible… I’m annoying. We (were) calling forth all our worst qualities.”
Blue Valentine ha ricevuto il plauso della critica e ha dato a Williams la sua prima nomination all’Oscar per la migliore attrice – tuttavia, ha perso con Natalie Portman in Black Swan.
