Candace Cameron Bure ha condiviso e successivamente cancellato una sua foto in costume da bagno in spiaggia.
L’allume di Full House ha spiegato perché ha deciso di rimuovere la foto dai social media.
“Did you post a bikini photo like yesterday and then take it down?” ha chiesto un utente nelle sue storie di Instagram, a cui l’attore ha risposto, “Yes, I was at the beach. I was in a one-piece, not a bikini.”
“I am soaking up the end of summer,” ha continuato. “I am having fun. It wasn’t about my bathing suit or my body. But the comments became flooded with people discussing my body. It wasn’t worth it. I took it down.”
Cameron Bure, che ha tre figli adulti con il marito Valeri Bure, è stata a lungo aperta riguardo ai suoi problemi relativi all’immagine corporea, inclusa la sua storia con disordini alimentari e bulimia.
“I developed an eating disorder when I was 18,” ha detto durante un episodio di luglio del suo podcast su Candace Cameron Bure.
“It was binging and purging. I’m a bulimic. And I still say I’m bulimic.”
“The thoughts, whether I’m doing that or not, they never leave me,” ha continuato. “I still need the tools to just say, ‘No, Candace, we’re not doing that.'”
