Glen Powell ha attribuito a Chris Pratt il merito di aver aperto la strada agli uomini di Hollywood per abbracciare l’essere “silly”.
La star di Twisters ha elogiato Chris per essersi allontanato dall’immagine tradizionale del protagonista meditabondo.
In una nuova intervista con GQ, Glen ha detto che il ritratto di Chris di Peter Quill, noto anche come Star-Lord, nei film dei Guardiani della Galassia della Marvel ha contribuito ad aprire la porta a performance più leggere e giocose.
“I remember when Chris Pratt broke out in Guardians of the Galaxy,” ha detto l’attore Everyone But You. “There’s no doubt it really helped – not being brooding or dark.”
Ha continuato, “Like, I’m not Christian Bale. Christian Bale has a gravitas and a weight, and (Robert) Pattinson had his thing.”
Glen ha continuato spiegando che si sente “most at home” in ruoli che tendono all’umorismo.
“And when Pratt kind of appeared on the scene where he was doing things that were a little more silly and buoyant, that’s where I feel most at home,” ha detto alla pubblicazione. “And that’s where I feel like I had a gear that is a necessary flavour in terms of Hollywood, and not a gear that a lot of guys can play.”
La star 36enne ha anche notato che la sua età potrebbe aver avuto qualcosa a che fare con la sua recente ascesa alla fama, dicendo: “The guys that I admired, they usually didn’t break until they were later in the game.”
