Jeremy Renner ha negato l’affermazione della sua ex moglie Sonni Pacheco di aver minacciato una volta di danneggiare lei e se stesso.
La star di Hawkeye e l’attrice canadese sono state brevemente sposate nel 2014 e hanno condiviso una figlia di 12 anni di nome Ava.
In mezzo a un’audizione di custodia dei minori nel 2019, Pacheco ha affermato in documenti legali che in un’occasione, Renner ha minacciato di ucciderla, ha messo una pistola in bocca e ha sparato una pistola nel soffitto mentre Ava dormiva.
Ha anche affermato che l’attore Locker Hurt ha avuto una storia di abuso di sostanze.
Renner ha respinto le accuse all’epoca e, in una recente intervista per il Guardian, ha mantenuto le affermazioni non erano vere.
“Whatever stress I’ve had in life, I’ve tried to find a way of laughing through it. And that’s where sometimes cynicism comes out – you think, I’m just going to have a laugh at this stuff,” Ha detto, prima di chiarire: “Being accused of things you’ve not done, right? That doesn’t feel good to anybody. It certainly doesn’t feel good when you’re a celebrity and it’s known to everybody.”
Renner ha continuato a etichettare le accuse per essere “clickbait”.
“It’s all the salaciousness that happens out there. It’s clickbait, and it hurts my feelings and it dehumanises people,” Il 54enne ha continuato. “It doesn’t matter to me what people say. They’re saying it for their own reasons and not for the right reasons or the truth. And I’m used to that, because I’m a public figure. I don’t read people’s reviews, I don’t read people’s comments. I don’t care. That’s not part of my life.”
Renner e Pacheco ora hanno la custodia congiunta di Ava.
“Her mom and I get along very well, and we’re in each other’s lives. It’s lovely,” ha aggiunto.
Renner sta attualmente promuovendo il suo libro, My Next Breath: A Memoir.
