Barbara Broccoli è “thrilled” Denis Villeneuve dirige il prossimo film di James Bond.
La produttrice di 65 anni ha rinunciato al controllo creativo del franchise di Bond agli Amazon MGM Studios, ma è convinta che Denis sia il candidato perfetto per guidare il prossimo film.
Durante un’apparizione sul Kermode sul podcast del film, Barbara ha detto: “He’s a fantastic filmmaker – I’m thrilled he’s going to be doing it.”
Amy Pascal e David Heyman hanno sostituito Barbara e Michael G. Wilson come produttori nel prossimo film di Bond.
Tuttavia, Barbara – che è produttrice dell’adattamento musicale di Sing Street – ha ancora molte ambizioni di carriera che vuole ottenere.

Nel frattempo, Sydney Sweeney è stato recentemente incendiato per interpretare una ragazza di Bond nel prossimo film di Denis.
L’attrice 27enne ha goduto di un aumento meteorico negli ultimi anni, con spettacoli televisivi come Euphoria e The Handmaid’s Tale, e Denis pensa di essere perfettamente adatto al ruolo di una ragazza di Bond.
Una fonte ha recentemente detto a The Sun il quotidiano domenica: “Sydney è il primo nome sul foglio di fusione per Bond.
“Denis believes she is hugely talented, as well as having an alluring appeal to younger generations, vital in modernising the franchise.”
Sydney e Denis hanno già trascorso del tempo insieme e il regista lo ha fatto “admired her stratospheric rise” negli ultimi anni.
