Scarlett Johansson ha chiamato gli Oscar per Subbing Avengers: Endgame.
L’attrice, che ha interpretato Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in dieci film Marvel, ha messo in dubbio il motivo per cui il successo del 2019 è stato trascurato nelle principali categorie agli Oscar del 2020, incluso il miglior film.
In una nuova intervista con Vanity Fair, Scarlett ha espresso incredulità che il film di supereroi ha ricevuto solo una nomination, per i migliori effetti visivi.
“How did this film not get nominated for an Oscar?” ha chiesto. “It was an impossible movie that should not have worked, that really works as a film – and also, it’s one of the most successful films of all time.”
Endgame ha avuto un significato particolare per Scarlett, in quanto presentava la morte del suo personaggio – un ruolo che ha avuto origine in Iron Man 2 del 2010. Tuttavia, è tornato per un altro film Marvel: il 2021 Prequel Black Widow.
Nonostante la speculazione in corso dei fan, Scarlett ha detto che non si aspetta di tornare al franchise Marvel.
“It would be very hard for me to understand in what capacity (returning) would make sense for me, for the character that I play,” Ha detto alla pubblicazione.
“I miss my buddies and really would love to be with them forever, but what works about the character is that her story is complete,” L’attrice ha continuato. “I don’t want to mess with that. For fans, too – it’s important for them.”
Scarlett sta attualmente promuovendo il suo debutto alla regia, Eleanor the Great, che sarà presentato in anteprima al Festival del cinema di Cannes il 20 maggio.
