Timothy West è morto “peacefully” Tre mesi dopo aver subito una lesione cerebrale traumatica in una caduta.
L’attore britannico, noto soprattutto per i suoi ruoli in drammi televisivi come Gentleman Jack e Bleak House, nonché saponi come Eastenders e Coronation Street, è deceduto il 12 novembre 2024 all’età di 90 anni.
Un’inchiesta ha sentito che è morto “peacefully with his family around him” a Wandsworth Common Care Home.
La corte del coroner di Westminster fu detto che l’attore veterano fu trasferito nella casa di cura dopo essere stato curato in ospedale per una caduta che sostenne l’11 agosto 2024, il che provocò un “significant traumatic brain injury”.
L’assistente coroner Ellie Oakley ha detto, “It is not possible to determine how the fall happened and there is no evidence of others being involved.”
Ha aggiunto, “Unfortunately he was not well enough to be discharged to his home despite receiving appropriate care in the care home.”
Thomas Holden, direttore generale della casa di cura di Londra, ha descritto gli ultimi momenti di West in una dichiarazione letta all’inchiesta, dicendo, “On 12 November his family were with him all day.”
“They continued to stay with him in his room during the evening and he passed away peacefully with his family around him at 19:20.”
L’anno scorso, West’s Children – Juliet, Samuel e Joseph – hanno annunciato la sua morte in una dichiarazione.
“After a long and extraordinary life on and off the stage, our darling father Timothy West died peacefully in his sleep yesterday evening,” Hanno scritto in quel momento. “He was 90 years old.”
West era sposato con l’attrice Prunella Scales dal 1963 fino alla sua morte, e insieme avevano due figli, Samuel e Joseph. Aveva anche una figlia, Juliet, dal suo primo matrimonio a Jacqueline Boyer, che durò dal 1956 al 1961.
