John Lithgow ha condiviso rari dettagli della prossima serie di Harry Potter mentre si prepara a suonare Silente.
La notizia è emersa il mese scorso che l’attore americano di 79 anni era stato scelto come preside iconico della Hogwarts School of Witchcraft e Wizardry nel prossimo adattamento HBO della serie di libri di Harry Potter di JK Rowling.
Mentre i dettagli della nuova serie sono sottili, Lithgow ha condiviso alcuni pensieri sul processo di ripresa e ha preso in giro la quantità di screentime che poteva recarsi interpretando Albus Silente durante le sette stagioni proiettate.
Ha detto a The Hollywood Reporter della nuova serie, “The overall concept of this entire reboot of Harry Potter is an entire season is devoted to a single novel.”
Ha anche segnato che potrebbe volare avanti e indietro tra il Regno Unito e gli Stati Uniti durante le riprese.
Ha detto, “I mean, I was over in England for eight months for The Crown and barely came back (to the US). I think I may have come back once or twice. I imagine that I can come back much more.”
Ha suggerito che il personaggio del Preside potrebbe non essere enormemente, stuzzicante, “You know, Dumbledore is – he’s kind of the nuclear weapon. He only goes on very, very occasionally. I don’t think it’s gonna be that hard a job, and, we’ll just go back and forth.”
Lithgow ha anche rivelato di aver notato un cambiamento nel suo livello di fama da quando il suo casting è stato annunciato il mese scorso.
Ha detto, “Can you believe this has already started? The deal was only set, like, 48 hours ago, and in airports two weeks ago, somehow or other, people had gotten wind of this, and they were stopping me.”
