In una dichiarazione bomba a gennaio, il figlio maggiore dei Beckham ha confermato il suo allontanamento dalla sua famiglia e ha insistito di non voler riconciliarsi con loro.
Nella sua dichiarazione, il 27enne lo ha affermato “Brand Beckham comes first” e i valori della sua famiglia “public promotion and endorsements above all else”.
Durante un’apparizione sul podcast Aspire with Emma Grede questa settimana, l’ex Spice Girl ha insistito sul fatto che lei e il marito David non avevano mai avuto intenzione di avviare un marchio.
“People talk about ‘Brand Beckham – that has happened so organically,” ha detto, prima di dettagliare i loro accordi con i marchi separati. “So when people talk about ‘Brand Beckham’, that was never something that we even discussed.”
“We don’t have any deals together. David does what David does, I do what I do,” continuò lo stilista. “That’s the way it’s always been. We have very different interests. I think it was the outside world that really talked about ‘Brand Beckham’. That’s never really how we saw it. We’re just doing what we do.”
La madre di quattro figli ha aggiunto che hanno cercato di proteggere i propri figli mentre crescevano sotto gli occhi del pubblico e non lo sono mai stati “pushy”.
“Our children have had a very different upbringing to myself and David and I think the world is also a very different place now to what it was when they were younger,” ha affermato.
“We’ve always tried to protect the children as much as we can, we’ve always been very close.”
Nella sua dichiarazione, Brooklyn ha affermato di essere stato controllato dai suoi genitori per anni e “performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships” era stato un appuntamento fondamentale della sua vita.
Ha anche accusato i suoi genitori di aver tentato di rovinare la sua relazione con sua moglie, Nicola Peltz, e Victoria di aver sabotato il suo primo ballo al suo matrimonio del 2022 ballando in modo inappropriato su di lui.
Victoria e David, sposati nel 1999, sono anche genitori di Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, e Harper, 14.
