David Schwimmer ha ammesso di non poter ascoltare il tema musicale degli amici per molti anni.
Durante un’apparizione sul podcast di Making a Scene martedì, l’attore – che ha interpretato Ross Geller nella sitcom degli anni ’90 – ha rivelato che non poteva sopportare di rivedere qualsiasi episodio della serie popolare per molto tempo.
“I never watched the show after we finished it,” Ha detto ai co-host Matt Lucas e David Walliams. “For me, it’s like, ‘I did it, I’m moving on.’ I don’t really go back and revisit.”
Tuttavia, David ha cambiato la sua prospettiva quando sua figlia ha scoperto gli amici quando aveva circa nove anni.
La stella della pelle d’oca condivide Cleo, 13 anni, con la sua ex moglie Zoë Buckman.
“I’ll be really honest, there was a time for quite a while that just hearing the theme song would really,” Il 58enne sospirò, riferendosi alla canzone del 1995 di Rembrandts, sarò lì per te. “You know what I mean? I just had that reaction. I mean, I just had heard it so many times.”
Citando il testo della traccia, ha commentato Matt, “Well, no one told you life was going to be that way.”
“Correct, thank you,” David rispose. “Any time you’d go on a show or a talk show or an interview, that would be your intro song. So, I just didn’t have the greatest response to it.”
Altrove, l’attore ha notato che la risposta di Cleo gli ha fatto cambiare melodia.
“I’d be making breakfast or whatever and I’d hear my kid’s laughter,” Ha ricordato. “My whole relationship to that song and to the show changed.”
Amici, con anche Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc e Matthew Perry, hanno funzionato per 10 stagioni dal 1994 al 2004.
Matthew morì all’età di 54 anni nell’ottobre 2023 a causa degli effetti acuti della ketamina e dell’annegamento accidentale.
