Robert Pattinson è rimasto colpito dal fatto che la sua co-protagonista Zendaya abbia deciso di trascorrere i suoi giorni liberi per osservare il processo di realizzazione del film.
Nel loro film in uscita The Drama, l’attore di Twilight e la star di Euphoria interpretano Charlie ed Emma, una coppia felicemente fidanzata la cui settimana di matrimonio va fuori dai binari quando vengono rivelate verità inquietanti.
Mentre Pattinson utilizzava i suoi giorni liberi per riposarsi e prepararsi per il giorno successivo delle riprese, Zendaya è andata sul set per sedersi con la troupe dietro la telecamera e osservare le riprese di altre scene.
“What I noticed on The Drama was that you come in on your day off and watch the monitor and talk to all the different department heads. It’s very impressive,” ha detto l’attore britannico a Zendaya in una chiacchierata per Interview Magazine. “I literally can’t even function. I can only do tiny little bursts of energy. I had to go and lay down on my fainting couch.”

Zendaya ha precedentemente spiegato che ha imparato diversi aspetti del processo di realizzazione di un film perché un giorno le piacerebbe dirigere il suo film.
Sebbene fosse presente per la maggior parte delle riprese, la 29enne è rimasta comunque sorpresa dal modo in cui lo sceneggiatore/regista Kristoffer Borgli ha montato le riprese.
Condividendo la sua reazione al film finito, Zendaya ha detto a Pattinson, “I’m really happy with it. It’s better than what I could have made up in my head. I really appreciate the way Kris edits. There are odd cuts that make for great comedic moments and awkwardness and discomfort that I don’t even remember being on the page.”
Dopo aver realizzato The Drama, Pattinson e Zendaya hanno finito per lavorare insieme su altri due progetti consecutivi: The Odyssey e Dune: Part Three di Christopher Nolan.
Tutti e tre dovrebbero uscire quest’anno, con The Drama in uscita ad aprile, The Odyssey nei cinema a luglio e Dune: Part Three in uscita a dicembre.
