Rachel Brosnahan ha promesso che “Superman” rimarrà “true to the comics”.
La star di 34 anni interpreterà Lois Lane nel prossimo film DC Universe (DCU) di James Gunn e ha dichiarato che il film “really encapsulates” L’essenza dell’uomo d’acciaio.
Parlando alla scadenza ai Critics ‘Choice Awards di venerdì (07.02.25), Rachel ha dichiarato: “Viviamo in un momento di così tanti tumulti, entrambi qui, all’estero.
“Ci sono molte sfide per tutti in tutte le diverse tasche dei mondi in questo momento. E per molte lamentele che le persone a volte hanno sui film di supereroi, al centro, sono sulla bontà delle persone e su quanto possiamo essere bravi l’uno all’altro, come la ricerca della verità e della giustizia sono davvero il modo americano e che il coraggio e la speranza possono portarci attraverso.
“And so, I feel like this movie really encapsulates all of that. It’s a hopeful superhero movie, which I feel like is so true to the comics. So, I’m excited for audiences to see it and hopefully have some fun and enjoy the ride with us.”
Brosnahan ammette di avere grandi scarpe per riempire il ruolo di Clark Kent/Superman’s (David Corenswet) Interesse Lois Lane, poiché la parte è stata precedentemente interpretata da Margot Kidder, Teri Hatcher e Amy Adams.
“La meravigliosa stella della signora Maisel” ha detto: “Voglio dire, sono cresciuto amando i film (Richard) Donner” Superman “, i film di Chris Reeve” Superman “, Margot Kidder. Voglio dire, è solo un sogno.
“So, I was definitely intimidated to step into this role but excited to pick up the mantle. And this team just loves this project, and it sounds like it should be a given, but it isn’t always a given that people love what they’re making to this degree. So, that’s what I was looking forward to the most.”
Nel frattempo, Rachel sapeva che Corenswet sarebbe stato perfetto come l’uomo d’acciaio quando lo vide in costume come supereroe per la prima volta.
Ha ricordato a Variety: “È successo due volte.
“Quando abbiamo testato insieme le parti, stavo giocando, quindi ho dovuto uscire molto rapidamente.
“I was leaving and I knocked on the door, and he was standing there in a Superman suit, testing. I was just like, ‘Superman is in the building’. It was wild. It was one of those electric moments that feel really rare. In that moment, I knew it would be David.”
Rachel ammette di essere entusiasta di lavorare con Gunn in quanto ha una tale passione per i film di supereroi.
Ha spiegato: “Dal processo di prova in avanti, sembrava sempre essere fatto con questo spirito davvero speciale, e questo è James.
“That’s Peter Safran, this new iteration of DC. James is a nerd. He loves ‘Superman’, and what a dream to be part of somebody else’s dream.”
