Paul Rudd ha rivelato di aver commesso un grave errore di abbronzatura spray prima di girare la commedia del 2008 Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Nella commedia, interpretata anche da Jason Segel, Kristen Bell e Mila Kunis, l’attore di Ant-Man ha interpretato Chuck, un istruttore di surf che lavora per un resort a O’ahu, Hawaii.
Per sembrare più convincente come residente alle Hawaii, Rudd ha intrapreso un viaggio elaborato per ottenere un’abbronzatura spray quando è arrivato sull’isola – e poi è tornato al punto di partenza dopo aver commesso un grave passo falso.
“When I landed, I was not tan, big surprise. They said, Well, you need to get a tan. There’s a place that you can get a spray tan. But it’s on the Southern part of O’ahu. It was like two hours away,” ha condiviso sul podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.
“I landed on the plane, went directly to this spray tanning place. That took like an hour and a half. It drove another few hours to the North Shore, where they were filming, checked in the hotel, told them, I’m here. And then I went and took a shower. I never knew that you have to let a spray tan wait a minute. Settle in… It all came off. I was in the shower and it was like Psycho, of the colour going down the drain.”
Si consiglia agli abbronzanti spray di attendere dalle sei alle otto ore prima di fare la doccia per dare all’agente abbronzante il tempo di reagire completamente con la pelle e sviluppare il colore.
Con grande sgomento di Rudd, dovette fare di nuovo il viaggio al salone di abbronzatura spray nella parte meridionale dell’isola.
“They had to send me back right there,” ha ricordato. “First of all, to get from New York to Hawaii takes something like 10 odd hours. It took me longer to get to the spray tan twice and then get back (to the hotel).”
L’attore di Role Models ha anche rivelato che i capelli del suo personaggio sono rossi nel film perché ha provato a tingerli di grigio ed è andato storto.
Rudd sta promuovendo la sua nuova commedia d’azione Anaconda, ora nei cinema.
